Staff was friendly. Room was clean and setup well. Breakfast was good and light dinner was nice.
Beds were not comfortable.
I always stay at Crystal Inn. The rooms are clean, very comfortable & big. The staff is so helpful and friendly. I like the location and it is affordable.
great price + includes breakfast & dinner bars
Was under construction at the time we stayed. Wallpaper stripped in public areas. Painting going on. NOT THEIR FAULT just bad timing. Dinner buffet one night was sandwiches... two loaves of bread, mayo or mustard, turkey or ham... not that good.
We chose the Crystal Inn because of the reviews on this website and felt very duped once we arrived. The hotel was dirty and run down. They are in the midst of repainting the whole hotel and paint fumes are very strong on the third floor - the floor we were originally placed (should have been the first clue we would receive bad service). Overall, we were very disappointed and wished we had gone with another hotel - the La Quinta nearby would have been a major upgrade to this, and even the Super 8 nearby looked much nicer. The staff were less than helpful on four different occasions. For example, I do not expect attitude when asking for help setting up the hotel's port-a-crib; and I do expect to be told there is a water cooler available with fresh water when we go to the desk to ask if they sell water. Not once were we greeted or spoken to when our family was coming or going, or when we were trying to find something edible to eat at the breakfast (gross and unclean - found hair in the cereal bowl I first picked up). In short, do not waste your money. Salt Lake is a terrific city and there are many nice places to stay.
Very nice rooms a very clean. Good pool and hot breakfest. Very helpful staff. Super
After i booked my room i called their front desk and talked with a lady named Amanda who was so sweet and cheerful even though it was 1:00 am. I must have asked her 20 questions about Salt Lake and how to get to where i needed to be asap after i checked in. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City but left in 1974. This is the first time i have driven to Salt Lake in 30 + yrs. Usually i fly. I was overwhelmed with everywhere i had to be for the next 48 hours until I talked to Amanda. She even printed a map for me showing how to get to my son's for a special dinner in my honor later in the evening. I had a special request for a room that she guaranteed i would get. And i did. I was so happy with my stay there that i will not stay anyplace else if their is a Crystal Inn in that city. What a asset that young lady is to Crystal Inn!!!!! Thank you Amanda you made my trip the best it could be. And i loved my room i loved the buffet i loved the jacuzzi. Great stay
The people upstairs footsteps were too noisy.
Wonderful room and amenities Good location A really great value
Improve exercise room and pool area
The hotel provided not only with breakfast, but also with dinner. Very nice hotel.
Great location, close to the freeway, gets you where you need to go. I love that you serve breakfast and dinner to help keep vacation costs down. I have never heard of a hotel that does that. Friendly staff and all around it is obvious that you go the extra mile to make things nice. Thanks!
I liked everything about the hotel. It is a four or five star hotel at a three star price. the rooms are HUGE, clean, and quiet. They have a microwave, fridge, as well as a flat screen TV complete with over 100 channels including HBO. The Inn offers free DINNER as well as breakfast. Our dinner was salad, rice and sweet and sour chicken. Breafast incuded a number of choices including fresh fruit. This is one of the best values in a hotel!
Hallways smelled smoky and needed vacuuming. Had to ask for daily clean sheets and towels, and on the 3rd of July we rec'd a note telling us we had to ask for service on the 4th. If you are open 365 days/year, then service should be provided 365 days/year. We were disappointed. We booked with Crystal based on the 5-stars review online (the only hotel receiving 5 stars). Next time we'll go with the recommendations of friends and our own common sense.
Great room with double sinks, refrigerator, coffee maker, "living room" area, king bed. Excellent breakfast including fruit, eggs, sausage, rolls, etc. Computers in lobby area. All-in-all very nice hotel.
I requested a late check-out of 1 pm since it was our honeymoon. At 12 noon...,in a very intimate moment.. A maid pounded on the door and said it was checkout. I proceeded to tell her that I had requested a late checkout. She said that she would check with the front desk. But we had to be gone in 10 minutes. She then opened the door and thank goodness the latxc was locked. I was so humiliated by her. She was rude and very unprofessional. I will never stay there again.
People were nice and great pricing.
There's a small stain on the ceiling of our room in 104. looks like a blood stain. Seriously though? no bacon in the breakfast? Really? that's the only.negative thing. but really? No bacon?
